Follow Your Swallow

About

Built by an SLP and the family that cooks with her.

Follow Your Swallow exists because the same conversation kept happening at kitchen tables: a family holding discharge paperwork that says “IDDSI Level 4” and no practical idea what dinner looks like now. We built the resource we kept wishing we could leave behind.

Kelsey [LAST NAME], [CREDENTIALS — e.g., MS, CCC-SLP] is a medical speech-language pathologist working in home care and hospital settings with adults with dysphagia.

[PLACEHOLDER — 2–4 sentences in Kelsey’s voice: why she does this work, what she sees families struggle with, what she wants this site to be for them.]

Every product entry lists how it was verified — a manufacturer-published IDDSI label, a published study, or our own kitchen testing with the official IDDSI methods — along with the source and the date. When we can’t substantiate a claim yet, the entry says so plainly. Medication answers come only from the ISMP “Do Not Crush” list and FDA labeling, and every clinical page passes SLP review before we call it done.

Two things we will never do: recommend a diet level (that decision belongs to your own clinician, after a swallowing evaluation), or put safety-critical information behind a paywall.

Anthony builds the platform — the verified database, the guided IDDSI test tools, the barcode scanner — so that what Kelsey teaches one family at a time can reach every family that needs it.
